THE RUN DOWN: Magnesium Pain Balm
Introducing our Magnesium Pain Balm…
At Heal Ya Self, we are passionate about creating natural alternatives to common health and wellness products. When we experience pain, it’s easy to opt for a pharmaceutical product, often filled with chemicals that can create a burden on our liver, kidneys and overall health. Whilst these are helpful in the moment to alleviate pain, it’s important to consider the long term impacts of regularly using these over-the-counter pain killers.
With this in mind, we decided to formulate a product that combines all the best natural pain-relieving compounds, without any of the toxins or synthetic ingredients. This powerhouse product has been in the works for several months. After a lot of trial and error, we finally mastered it with the perfect blend of ingredients.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Our Magnesium Pain Balm was created as an all natural pain-relief solution. It’s beneficial for:
Muscle recovery
Muscular aches and pains
Children’s growing pains
Joint pain / Arthritic pain
Inflammation
Menstrual pain
Injury support
and more!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We have combined all of the best natural pain-relief solutions into this one powerhouse product. Here is an explanation of each our our key ingredients, and how they support pain relief.
MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE
Magnesium chloride is one of the most bioavailable forms of magnesium, making it extremely effective when applied topically. Magnesium chloride is required for correct muscular function. It prevents cramping and spasms, making it beneficial for athletes or gym-goers. It also is renowned for relaxing the muscles, as well as soothing muscular aches and pains (which is why you will often find it in bath salts). Additionally, magnesium chloride can improve skin health, as well as offering wound-healing abilities.
ARNICA
Arnica is a plant commonly used for pain relief. When applied topically, its analgesic (pain-relieving) effects help to reduce the amount of pain sensations experienced. Its anti-inflammatory compounds like helenalin and flavonoids reduce swelling and bruising, allowing for faster healing. Arnica is also beneficial for relieving muscle soreness, making it a potent addition to our Magnesium Pain Balm.
COMFREY
Comfrey is another herbal species native to Europe & Asia. Similarly to arnica, comfrey also has a long history of use in traditional herbal medicine due to its pain relieving, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties. Additionally, comfrey has also demonstrated benefits for bone and joint health, as well as sprains and strains. You can see why we had to include it in our Pain Balm!
GINGER & TURMERIC
Ginger and turmeric are both known for their soothing and warming properties. They facilitate blood flow and circulation, as well as being renowned natural anti-inflammatories. Like the other ingredients in our Magnesium Pain Balm, ginger and turmeric are analgesic plant species, further supporting pain relief. Together, they also have the ability to reduce joint pain, stiffness, inflammation, nerve pain, swelling and menstrual pain.
BLACK PEPPER
Black pepper’s natural warming properties allow for increased blood flow and circulation, supporting the body’s natural healing process, as well as facilitating the delivery and distribution of the pain-relieving ingredients.
TALLOW
We have combined all of the above ingredients into our regenerative grass fed & finished tallow base, to further improve bioavailability and enhance cellular absorption, increasing the effectiveness of our Magnesium Pain Balm.
This balm truly is a potent and unique blend of all natural pain relievers, allowing you to find comfort without the use of synthetic (and often toxic) pharmaceuticals, that create an overloaded detoxification system.
INTENTIONAL SYNTHESIS = ABSORPTION & DELIVERY = RESULTS
The synthesis of the ingredients we have selected, creates a powerful formula and delivery system. Tallow (along with jojoba and rosehip oils) share similar sebum to our skin, meaning the balm is readily absorbed upon application. The black pepper and ginger then encourage blood flow and circulation, allowing the magnesium, as well as the variety of pain relieving compounds in the balm to be further absorbed into the bloodstream and tissues to allow for faster and deeper pain relief.
